2 yr old language

Learning to communicate effectively is just as exciting for your kids as it is for you. Every day Braxton comes up with some new phrase or word, and he know exactly what he is saying, I on the other hand usually do not.

I remember the first time he said Momma so I could clearly tell that was what he is saying I wanted to cry.
Now it words like Giraffe and phrases like Happy Birthday to you. He always insists that I repeat anything he says so he knows that I understand him, and gets so excited when I actually get it right. Which is a great learning tool for both of us. The only time we have a problem is when I have no idea what he is saying and No matter how many words I say hoping to find the one that he is saying I don't get it right. He then starts to get upset at me for not knowing that "Peg" means Penguin and that "Pot" means Spider.

I also find it very interesting that he can understand what other 2 yr olds are saying and the other parents and I have No clue what each others child is saying, It's like each child has their own language that only their parents and other 2 yr olds can decipher.

I just keep working with him and he is getting so much better every day that it is amazing to me that a little person who could barely say Momma less than year ago can now look at me and say "Momma I need juice Please" well.. "Momma I nee Joo Peeze" but I know what he meant, even if No one else does.

I just keep myself focused and hope hat sometime before he is 20 I ave a clear grasp on his vocabulary...Wish me luck!!
