Spring is in the air, and I have been living outside. Even though I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life, I still hate winter. I love snow on the ground at Christmas, hot chocolate with marshmellows, and a quick sleighride or snowman. But I HATE cold. I want to be out in my garden and playing in the dirt planting flowers.
So now that the snow has been melting Braxton and I have been enjoying mud puddle jumping and digging the sandbox toys out of the garage. I only wish it would stay this nice until November again.
One thing that I have noticed about spring is it puts my son in a much better mood and he even sleeps through the night. My ultimate goal this summer is to teach him as much as can about the outdoors over the summer. I want him to understand why I plant a garden, and how to help take care of it. I also plan to use some of our outside time to work on word recognition and possibly learning to read a little. I will see how it all goes and when I figure out how I'm going to incorporate it all into playtime I will post some of my ideas.
I hope everyone is enjoying the start of Spring.
